NTPC Invites Bids for BESS and Critical Systems Annual Maintenance at 4 MWp Solar Project

NTPC Limited has invited bids for a limited tender for the Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) of critical systems at its 4 MWp solar power project, aimed at ensuring the operational efficiency and reliability of key energy infrastructure.

The tender, issued through NTPC’s Corporate Materials division under its Corporate Centre, covers the maintenance of essential project components including the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), Power Conversion System (PCS), Energy Management System (EMS), SCADA systems, HVAC infrastructure, and Fire Suppression Systems (FSS).

According to the tender terms, the bidding process will follow a single-cover system, requiring participating companies to submit both technical and financial bids together. Technical documents must be uploaded in PDF format, while the price bid is to be submitted in an Excel format.

The bidding window opened on April 28, 2026, and will remain open until May 7, 2026, with submissions closing at 3:00 PM. Technical bids are scheduled to be opened on May 8, 2026, at NTPC’s EOC office in Noida.

NTPC has waived both the tender fee and Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) requirements for this contract, easing financial entry conditions for eligible bidders. The contract period has been fixed at 730 days, equivalent to approximately two years, while bid validity has been set at 120 days.

Interested bidders can seek clarifications or raise queries regarding the tender until May 4, 2026.

As a limited tender, participation has been restricted to selected companies, including Fourth Partner Energy Private Limited and NEWEN SYSTEMS PRIVATE LIMITED.

Eligible bidders are required to meet NTPC’s General Technical Evaluation criteria, including declarations related to local supplier status, compliance with anti-fraud and banning policies, and adherence to procurement guidelines concerning entities from countries sharing land borders with India.

A mandatory “No Deviation Certificate” must also be submitted, confirming full acceptance of the tender’s terms and conditions. The tender does not permit multi-currency bidding or two-stage bidding.

However, NTPC has included an auto-extension provision, allowing the bid submission deadline to be extended up to three times if the required number of bids is not received.

The maintenance contract is expected to support the long-term performance and reliability of NTPC’s solar and battery storage assets as the company continues to expand its renewable energy portfolio.
