ACME Solar Holdings Limited has received a Letter of Award (LOA) for a 220 MW solar power project integrated with a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) in Madhya Pradesh. The project, awarded by Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Limited (RUMSL), will be developed at Morena Solar Park and forms part of a larger 440 MW tender floated by RUMSL.

The project was secured through a tariff-based competitive bidding process, with an e-reverse auction conducted in September 2025. ACME Solar won the project by quoting a tariff of Rs. 2.764 per unit. The project will have a tenure of 25 years from the date of signing the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), with a scheduled commercial operation date (SCOD) of December 31, 2027.

Technical specifications require the plant to maintain a maximum annual Capacity Utilization Factor (CUF) of 35%. The project will supply four hours of daily peak power, divided into two-hour blocks in the morning and evening. Evening peak power will be supplied using energy stored in the battery system from solar generation, while the procurer will provide free night-time charging for the morning peak. The plant must ensure 95% annual availability for peak supply.

As the solar park developer, RUMSL will provide the necessary land and evacuation infrastructure above 33 kV. The project will benefit from reduced GST rates and must comply with the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM List-I). The PPA will be signed with RUMSL and the Madhya Pradesh Power Management Company Limited (MPPMCL).
