Luminous Power Technologies has reaffirmed its commitment to Odisha, positioning the state as a key hub for solar manufacturing and renewable energy growth during a government event held in Khordha.
At the event, the company showcased its advanced portfolio of energy solutions while highlighting its expanding manufacturing footprint in eastern India. Luminous emphasised that Odisha is emerging as a strategic centre for clean energy innovation, supported by favourable state policies, improving infrastructure, and increasing renewable energy adoption.
Speaking on the occasion, Vivek Abrol said the state serves as both a manufacturing base and a gateway to India’s rapidly growing clean energy ecosystem. He added that continued investments in Odisha align with the company’s broader commitment to supporting national clean energy targets while contributing to regional economic development and energy infrastructure.
Luminous is currently advancing two major projects in the state. In Angul, the company is developing a next-generation energy storage and manufacturing facility focused on advanced technologies. Additionally, a solar cell manufacturing plant is being established in Gopalpur to strengthen India’s domestic solar value chain.
During the Khordha event, the company presented its end-to-end solar solutions, including on-grid, off-grid, and hybrid systems catering to residential, commercial, and industrial segments. Its portfolio features TOPCon bifacial solar panels, high-performance inverters, durable batteries, and the Connect X monitoring application.
With these upcoming facilities, Luminous aims to generate local employment, enhance skill development, and support industrial growth in the region. The expansion is aligned with India’s broader transition towards a low-carbon economy, with eastern India expected to play a pivotal role in advancing renewable energy adoption and strengthening energy security.
