Lineage Power Pvt. Ltd., the material subsidiary of Pace Digitek Limited, has signed a Master Supply Agreement (MSA) with China’s Guangzhou Rongjie Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (RJE Tech) to secure the supply of 3 GWh of Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery cells and related accessories for its expanding Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) business.
The agreement is aimed at strengthening Lineage Power’s battery cell sourcing framework while supporting the company’s growing manufacturing capabilities for utility-scale and commercial & industrial (C&I) energy storage projects.
Under the long-term agreement, Rongjie Energy Tech will supply its 314Ah storage-specific prismatic LFP battery cells, designed to deliver enhanced safety, longer cycle life, and improved performance for energy storage applications.
The partnership establishes a comprehensive operational framework covering pricing, quality standards, warranties, and delivery schedules, providing greater supply chain visibility and long-term procurement stability. The companies will also collaborate on product validation, quality assurance, technical support, and continuous product improvement.
As part of the agreement, Lineage Power will leverage Rongjie Energy Tech’s manufacturing facilities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, enabling efficient logistics and shipment of battery cells to India and other international markets.
Commenting on the development, Venugopal Rao Maddisetty, Chairman & Managing Director of Pace Digitek Limited, said securing a reliable long-term supply of high-quality battery cells is essential for building a scalable and resilient BESS manufacturing platform. He added that the agreement strengthens the company’s manufacturing ecosystem, enhances supply chain resilience, and improves its ability to execute utility-scale and C&I battery energy storage projects.
Maddisetty further noted that Rongjie Energy Tech was selected following a comprehensive technical and commercial evaluation, with its manufacturing capabilities, product quality, and technology roadmap aligning closely with Pace Digitek’s long-term growth strategy.
The agreement marks another strategic step in expanding Lineage Power’s battery energy storage manufacturing platform as demand for grid-scale and commercial energy storage solutions continues to grow across India.
