Stercom Power Solutions, a Tesvolt subsidiary specializing in charging and energy storage technologies, has secured a major growth boost with the acquisition of a majority stake by Zapi Group, a global electrification leader.
The partnership will strengthen Stercom’s purchasing, development, sales, and service capabilities while supporting international expansion, particularly in the e-mobility sector. Stercom is known for its advanced bidirectional onboard chargers (OBC V2X), enabling electric vehicles not only to charge but also to supply energy back to the grid, buildings, or other vehicles.
“E-mobility is a huge growth market. With Zapi’s support, we are now taking the next step in our growth,” said Robert Sterff, CEO and founder of Stercom. Tesvolt CEO Daniel Hannemann emphasized the importance of continuing to develop sustainable “Made in Germany” technologies.
Tesvolt will retain a stake in Stercom and maintain close collaboration with the founding team. Founded in 2014, Stercom today employs 55 people and is recognized as an innovation leader in power electronics and energy storage solutions across Europe.
