Mitsubishi Power Americas (Mitsubishi Power) is embarking on a transformative journey by rebranding and spinning off its battery energy storage solutions (BESS) business into a distinct and independent entity named Prevalon (pronounced preh-vuh-lon). Prevalon is specifically designed to serve as a dedicated platform for innovation and growth within the battery energy storage sector. With a strong foundation built on Mitsubishi Power’s BESS business, Prevalon enters the market with a solid track record, a robust pipeline of global projects, and proven technology.

This strategic move represents the first step in empowering Prevalon to focus exclusively on battery energy storage, positioning it as a catalyst for embracing technological advancements and attracting investments in the rapidly evolving energy transition landscape.

Drawing upon the extensive experience gained from Mitsubishi Power’s BESS business – including over 30 projects and the deployment of three gigawatt hours (GWh) of utility-scale battery energy storage systems globally – Prevalon is well-equipped to operate as a seasoned and established player in the market while maintaining the agility of a startup. Its goal is to empower customers to deploy flexible battery energy storage solutions that accelerate the transition to a more sustainable energy future.
