NTPC Limited has awarded an operations and maintenance (O&M) contract to Jayram Industries India Pvt Ltd for a solar-based microgrid project located at NTPC NETRA in Greater Noida.
The project involves the O&M of a 4 MW solar PV microgrid, along with a 1,250 kWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), aimed at ensuring stable and reliable power supply. The contract will be executed over a period of two years, following the tender issued in February 2026.
This contract marks a strategic milestone for Jayram Industries, representing its entry into battery energy storage system (BESS) O&M services, a segment witnessing rapid growth with increasing renewable energy integration.
The inclusion of energy storage is expected to enhance grid stability, balance supply and demand, and improve overall system efficiency, reinforcing the role of hybrid energy solutions in modern power infrastructure.
The development aligns with NTPC’s broader strategy to advance clean energy adoption and integrate innovative technologies, supporting India’s ongoing energy transition. It also highlights expanding opportunities for service providers in the solar and energy storage ecosystem.
Through this collaboration, both companies aim to ensure the efficient and reliable operation of the microgrid, contributing to sustainable power generation and strengthening India’s renewable energy infrastructure.
