HiTHIUM, a global leader in energy storage technology, announced its first energy storage project in New York City through a strategic partnership with Microgrid Networks LLC (MGN). The collaboration marks a significant milestone in HiTHIUM’s North American expansion, combining cutting-edge technology with urban resilience.

Under the agreement, HiTHIUM will supply its ∞Block 5MWh BESS, a system certified with the FDNY TM-2 Certificate of Approval, recognized as one of North America’s most stringent fire safety standards for energy storage. The system recently completed the world’s first open-door large-scale fire test, demonstrating unmatched operational safety and structural integrity in real-world conditions.

“This partnership enables HiTHIUM to deliver safe, reliable, and sustainable energy solutions tailored to New York City,” said Mizhi Zhang, President of Global Business, HiTHIUM. Tony Maselli, CEO of MGN, added that the collaboration supports the city’s renewable integration goals and strengthens local energy resilience.

With manufacturing now underway at its Texas facility and localized service offices across New York, Fremont, and Dallas, HiTHIUM is poised to expand its U.S. footprint while setting new benchmarks for urban energy storage safety and efficiency.
