Fluence Energy, Inc., a global leader in energy storage solutions, has achieved a landmark milestone with the delivery of its first domestically manufactured Gridstack Pro systems. The shipment includes U.S.-made batteries, modules, thermal management systems, controls, and enclosures, marking a major step toward reshoring the battery supply chain and strengthening America’s energy independence.

Fluence began moving parts of its supply chain back to the United States in 2022. Over the past year, the company has rapidly expanded its network of U.S. partner facilities to meet rising customer demand for domestic systems.

“Storage is a critical piece of a cost-effective electricity system, and with this announcement, we’re showing that the U.S. can again be a leader in battery storage manufacturing,” said John Zahurancik, President, Americas at Fluence.

The company said the U.S.-made systems will help customers reduce risks from weather, terrorism, and trade restrictions, while also qualifying for federal tax incentives under domestic content rules. The initiative supports local job creation and underlines the U.S.’s growing role in clean energy innovation.

“We recognized that a resilient regional supply chain was essential for long-term leadership,” added Peter Williams, Chief Product and Supply Chain Officer at Fluence. “Today’s delivery proves we are building for both reliability and future growth.”

With more than 22,000 MWh of storage capacity deployed or contracted across 90+ projects in the U.S., Fluence is working with leading utilities and developers to make the grid more reliable, cost-effective, and sustainable.
