In a groundbreaking development, Fluence Energy, Inc. (NASDAQ: FLNC), a prominent global provider of energy storage solutions, has announced that it has surpassed an impressive 20 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of deployed and contracted storage systems globally. As the global battery storage market experiences rapid growth, projections indicate that front-of-the-meter additions are poised to reach approximately 158 GWh annually by 2030, according to the BloombergNEF 2H 2023 Energy Storage Market Outlook. Having collaborated with customers to implement some of the world’s largest and most intricate energy storage systems, Fluence boasts a global fleet with nearly 3 million operating hours. Notably, the company was recently selected by AGL Energy Limited (AGL) to undertake the Liddell Battery Project in New South Wales, a 500 MW / 1000 MWh energy storage system, marking the largest project of its kind announced by Fluence in Australia to date.

Fluence’s commitment to innovation is evident in projects such as the Luna Battery Storage Project and the Lancaster Area Battery system, a 227 MW / 908 MWh energy storage complex in California.
