Pace Digitek Limited has been awarded a significant Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract valued at ₹4,945.4 million by NTPC Limited. The project will be executed at the Nabinagar Super Thermal Power Station, marking a notable advancement in India’s expanding energy storage landscape.
The scope of the contract includes the deployment of a 200 MW / 400 MWh BESS project. Pace Digitek will undertake end-to-end responsibilities, encompassing equipment supply, logistics, installation, testing, and commissioning. Additionally, the company will provide comprehensive operation and maintenance services, including long-term lifecycle support for a duration of 11 years post-commissioning.
Battery Energy Storage Systems are increasingly critical for enhancing grid reliability and enabling the integration of renewable energy sources such as solar and wind. As India accelerates its transition towards cleaner energy, large-scale storage solutions are essential to balance demand-supply dynamics and ensure consistent power delivery.
