Pace Digitek Limited, a provider of integrated telecom infrastructure and energy solutions, has won a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) EPC contract from NTPC Limited for deployment at the Nabinagar Super Thermal Power Station in Bihar. The contract, valued at ₹4,945.4 million (excluding GST), includes the supply, installation, commissioning, and lifecycle maintenance of a 200 MW / 400 MWh energy storage system.
The EPC package also covers ex-works supply, civil and structural works, logistics, testing, and commissioning. The supply and services are expected to be executed over approximately 15 months, followed by 11 years of comprehensive annual maintenance, highlighting Pace Digitek’s capability to deliver end-to-end BESS solutions.
Commenting on the development, Chairman & Managing Director Venugopal Rao Maddisetty said, “This order from NTPC represents a significant addition to our energy order book and reinforces our capabilities in executing integrated BESS projects. As energy storage becomes an increasingly important component of power infrastructure, our ability to deliver end-to-end execution positions us well for utility-scale opportunities.”
With this latest order, Pace Digitek’s consolidated order book now stands at around ₹110,200 million, spanning projects in energy, telecom infrastructure, telecom power equipment, and emerging railway infrastructure segments.
The Nabinagar BESS project reflects the growing focus on utility-scale energy storage in India, supporting enhanced grid flexibility, improved integration of renewable energy, and greater system reliability.
