Fluence Energy, Inc. has been named one of the world’s top three battery energy storage system (BESS) providers in the newly released S&P Global Commodity Insights 2025 Battery Energy Storage System Integrator Report. The recognition reflects Fluence’s rapid global expansion and strong contracted pipeline across major energy markets.

The S&P Global assessment ranks companies based on installed and contracted BESS capacity. Fluence secured a top-three position both including and excluding China, signalling consistent growth and strong execution. The report highlights Fluence’s dominant presence in key regions, including the United States, where it holds the second-largest installed and contracted capacity, supported by its domestic-content strategy.

In Europe, the company continues to scale its footprint in the UK and continental markets. Fluence ranks as the second-largest provider for installed and contracted capacity in Germany. Its expanding position in Australia and across the wider Americas further solidifies its status as one of the few BESS providers with a truly global, multi-regional presence.

“From Europe and the United States to Australia and emerging markets, our teams are executing solutions for some of the most complex storage projects on the planet,” said Julian Nebreda, President and CEO of Fluence. “This report places Fluence in the top tier of global storage system providers and sends a clear signal that our technology and service platform are built for long-term reliability.”

Demand Rising Amid Renewable Integration and AI Growth

Fluence’s recognition comes during a surge in large-scale energy storage deployment worldwide. Grids are accelerating investments in storage to integrate higher shares of renewable energy, support the rapid expansion of energy-intensive AI data centers, and strengthen energy security and resilience.

To meet this demand, Fluence continues to invest in standardized storage systems, cyber-secure controls, advanced optimization software, and regionalized supply chains. The company says these innovations help utilities and developers deploy storage faster and operate assets more efficiently while meeting evolving regulatory requirements.
