HiTHIUM, a global leader in long-duration energy storage technology, has announced a strategic cooperation agreement with El-Mor Renewable Energy, one of Israel’s largest EPC companies, to jointly develop 1.5GWh of long-duration energy storage (LDES) projects across Israel. The collaboration marks HiTHIUM’s first major overseas LDES deployment and a significant step in its international expansion strategy.

Under the partnership, El-Mor will design and construct battery energy storage systems (BESS) and related infrastructure for multiple projects totaling 1.5GWh capacity and 300MW power output. Among these, the RAMAT BEKA 1GWh PV+BESS project stands out as the largest renewable-plus-storage installation in the region, setting a new benchmark for grid flexibility and renewable integration.

HiTHIUM will supply its ∞Power 6.25MWh BESS as part of an integrated Energy Equipment Package (EEP), which includes both DC and AC systems such as battery containers, PCS, MV transformers, MV switchgear, and an energy management system (PPC). The solution provides a one-stop engineering platform, covering areas from grid modeling and protection design to fire safety systems—underscoring HiTHIUM’s engineering excellence and system integration expertise.

“Israel and the broader Middle East are at a turning point in renewable energy transformation,” said Steven Song, Senior Director of Sales, Israel at HiTHIUM. “Through this partnership with El-Mor, we are enabling grid stability, enhanced solar integration, and a cleaner, more resilient power system.”

Avi Elkayam, Chairman of El-Mor Renewable Energy, added, “Partnering with HiTHIUM allows us to combine our EPC experience with their advanced long-duration storage technology, providing a one-stop solution for Israel’s growing renewable energy needs.”

The cooperation highlights the strategic importance of long-duration storage in Israel’s clean energy roadmap, enabling the storage of surplus solar power during the day for use during peak demand periods. By uniting El-Mor’s local expertise and HiTHIUM’s technological innovation, the partnership is poised to accelerate Israel’s transition toward a sustainable and reliable energy future.
