Fluence Energy, Inc., a global leader in intelligent energy storage systems, and Torch Clean Energy, a U.S.-based independent power producer, have announced a partnership to deliver the Winchester Battery Energy Storage System — a 160 MW / 640 MWh solar-plus-storage project in Cochise County, Arizona.

The project, scheduled for delivery in early 2027, will integrate Fluence’s advanced Gridstack Pro 5000™ energy storage platform with two 80 MW solar arrays, providing grid-balancing support, peak-demand management, and long-term economic benefits to the region.

Fluence’s Gridstack Pro 5000™ system incorporates domestically manufactured components, including enclosures, inverters, and thermal management systems, enabling the project to qualify for domestic content tax credits under U.S. clean energy policies.

We’re proud to partner with Torch Clean Energy on this vital project that will ensure affordable, reliable, and secure power for Arizona,” said John Zahurancik, President, Fluence Americas.

Travis Haggard, President of Torch Clean Energy, added, “The Gridstack Pro 5000 allows us to shift solar generation to times when the grid needs it most.
