Volks Energie has bagged a second consecutive contract from Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) for a solar-plus-storage project, reinforcing its position as a key EPC player in India’s oil and gas infrastructure. The new order involves the deployment of solar photovoltaic systems combined with lithium-ion battery storage for BPCL’s Irugur-Devangonthi Pipeline (IDPL), which spans across Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.

This development follows an earlier BPCL-Volks collaboration involving pipeline networks in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. With this second win, Volks Energie continues to solidify its role in integrating sustainable energy solutions into critical oil and gas operations, particularly in off-grid and remote locations.

The IDPL project will supply clean power to essential infrastructure such as SCADA systems, cathodic protection, and control units, ensuring uninterrupted operations along the pipeline. These deployments will help reduce reliance on conventional energy sources and contribute to India’s larger decarbonisation goals in the oil and gas sector.

Volks Energie’s Co-Founder & CEO, Piyush Goyal, expressed pride over the trust BPCL has placed in their solutions. He emphasized the company’s commitment to national energy security and providing robust, safe, and reliable power systems for mission-critical applications.
