Global green technology leader Envision Energy has announced a strategic partnership with SUN Terra, Indonesia’s leading renewable energy company, to advance energy storage technologies across Southeast Asia, India, and Australia.
The partnership, unveiled this week, is designed to accelerate the deployment of advanced energy storage solutions, strengthen global supply chains, and promote the localization of manufacturing and technological expertise—key steps toward advancing clean energy transitions in some of the fastest-growing markets.
The collaboration will span the entire energy storage value chain. According to the agreement, Envision and SUN Terra will cooperate on energy storage system procurement and distribution, localized assembly and manufacturing, technology licensing, and solution delivery. The joint effort aims to build a robust ecosystem capable of scaling energy storage adoption efficiently in all three target regions.
“SUN Terra’s strong local presence and project development capabilities are highly complementary to Envision’s expertise in the energy storage. Together, we will accelerate the growth of energy storage markets across Southeast Asia, India and Australia, delivering sustained momentum for enhancing local energy ecosystems,” said Kane Xu, Senior Vice President and President of International Product Lines at Envision Energy.
“As a key part of Sinar Mas’ renewable energy portfolio, SUN Terra is committed to advancing clean energy development in Indonesia, Australia, and India. This strategic collaboration with Envision will not only bring advanced energy storage systems to Indonesia, but also empower the localization of production and technology advancements in the Australian and Indian markets,” added Karina Darmawan, CEO of SUN Terra.
SUN Terra, a subsidiary of Sinar Mas—one of Indonesia’s most influential conglomerates—has built a strong track record in renewable energy development, delivering large-scale solar projects across Indonesia, Australia, and India. The company also offers integrated energy storage and battery lifecycle management solutions.
This strategic move by Envision Energy and SUN Terra positions both companies as key players in driving the regional energy transition forward, with an emphasis on localized innovation and scalable deployment.
