Leading smart energy solution provider GoodWe has launched its latest high-voltage hybrid inverter, the ET G2 series, as part of its EcoSmart Home portfolio. Available in 6kW to 15kW models, the ET G2 is designed to meet the growing energy needs of modern households by combining advanced inverter technology with scalable energy storage.
This new generation of three-phase inverters aims to enhance energy independence through features like an integrated smart meter, intelligent operation modes for greater self-consumption and cost efficiency, and an uninterruptible power supply (UPS)-level backup function for grid outages.
Engineered with a sleek, modern design, the ET G2 supports up to 16A DC input per string and allows for 160% PV-side oversizing to ensure maximum generation efficiency. It includes up to three MPPTs and supports parallel operation of up to four units, making it suitable for both single- and multi-family homes.
Safety remains a top priority, with the inverter featuring AI-based Arc-Fault Circuit Interruption (AFCI) 3.0, remote shutdown capabilities, and Type II surge protection on both AC and DC sides. With IP66-rated protection, the ET G2 ensures dependable performance under diverse environmental conditions and is compatible with generators.
Expanding Home Storage Capabilities
Compatible with a range of high-voltage batteries, including GoodWe’s new Lynx D series, the ET G2 supports energy storage capacities ranging from 5kWh to 40kWh. The Lynx D battery system features self-detecting, stackable modules and allows for parallel installation with both new and older battery packs. When paired with GoodWe’s HCA G2 EV charger and smart-grid-ready heat pumps, the system offers a fully integrated home energy solution aimed at reducing electricity costs.
Award-Winning Innovation
The ET G2 and Lynx D battery system recently won the 2024 Red Dot Award for Product Design, recognizing their balance of technical innovation and residential aesthetics. Designed for quiet operation and easy installation, the system blends seamlessly into modern homes while empowering users to contribute to a more sustainable energy future.
