Built around five core features—superior safety, high compatibility, easy maintenance, cost-efficiency, and eco-friendliness—the system overcomes constraints related to capacity, deployment scenarios, and environmental standards, helping accelerate Europe’s shift to sustainable, low-carbon energy.
At the event, Hithium also signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Spanish venture capital firm GCRPV to drive collaboration across the entire energy storage value chain. This move plays a key role in Hithium’s ambition to establish localized manufacturing in Europe.
At this year’s smarter E Europe, Hithium also introduced its full lineup of scenario-based solutions, including the high-capacity ∞Cell 587Ah and 1175Ah battery cells, the ∞Pack+ platform for large-scale energy storage, the ∞Cell N162Ah sodium-ion battery, and the ∞Block 261kWh integrated storage unit for commercial and industrial applications. With long-duration battery energy storage systems (BESS) becoming increasingly important in Europe for stabilizing energy supply and improving system economics, Hithium’s new ∞Power 6.25MWh 2h/4h BESS EU Version provides a solution customized to these emerging demands. The system integrates with various renewable sources such as solar and wind, offering a flexible platform suitable for Europe’s diverse energy infrastructures.
Unlocking Capacity Constraints: The 4h version of the ∞Power 6.25MWh BESS is powered by the ∞Cell 1175Ah high-capacity cell, cutting non-cell component costs on the DC side by over 30% and reducing the need for costly manufacturing equipment while enhancing consistency.
Unlocking Scenario Constraints: Built on Hithium’s ∞Pack+ platform, the system allows for customized configurations that adapt to varied geographical and environmental conditions across Europe. It also uses corrosion-resistant materials and robust structural designs that enable stable performance in coastal, high-salinity areas. The unit can also operate in frigid temperatures down to -30°C, ensuring reliable service even during harsh northern European winters.
Unlocking Environmental Constraints: Featuring a low-noise design, the system fits well in noise-sensitive locations such as residential zones, schools, and hospitals, fully complying with Europe’s rigorous acoustic standards. Additionally, the structure is made entirely of recyclable materials, supporting the region’s green and circular economy goals.
The ∞Power 6.25MWh 2h/4h BESS EU Version also delivers a service life of up to 25 years. To ensure high safety standards, it features flame-retardant top caps to prevent thermal propagation and a dual-layer BMS system that supports SIL2-level functional safety and cybersecurity.
Signing MoU with Spanish Firm GCRPV, Accelerating Toward “Manufacturing in Europe”
At the expo, Hithium announced a strategic partnership with GCRPV—a venture capital firm supported by the Basque Government—to enable full localization of its European operations, from battery production and R&D to recycling. This alliance marks a key milestone in Hithium’s “Local for Local” strategy and solidifies its presence in Europe’s green energy space.
With existing operations in Europe—including a German branch in Munich, Bulgaria’s 55MWh storage facility, and Hungary’s first custom storage solution—Hithium is expanding further through localized production and innovation.
