Green Tenaga, a leader in Energy Storage Systems (ESS), has announced a new research collaboration with the A*STAR Advanced Remanufacturing and Technology Centre (A*STAR ARTC). Together, they will develop an advanced, analytics-powered Energy Management System (EMS) aimed at boosting the battery health and energy efficiency of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).

Drawing on Green Tenaga’s deep experience in energy storage and A*STAR ARTC’s strengths in energy management and analytics, the collaboration will focus on several key areas:
- Real-Time Monitoring: Delivering greater visibility into battery performance and system health.
- Data-Driven Insights: Generating actionable intelligence to optimize energy usage.
- Predictive Analytics: Enabling long-term planning through advanced data analysis.
Philip Lee, Vice President of Green Tenaga, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration with A*STAR ARTC, highlighting that it aligns with the company’s mission to accelerate the adoption of sustainable energy solutions by enhancing the efficiency and intelligence of energy storage systems through analytics-powered intelligence.
The partnership marks a major milestone in advancing Singapore’s clean energy landscape. The new analytics-powered EMS is set to be deployed in upcoming Green Tenaga projects targeting the commercial and industrial sectors, underlining a strong commitment to sustainable, intelligent, and safe energy solutions.
The signing of the research collaboration agreement was witnessed by Mr. William Ng, Group CFO of PIL and independent board member, alongside Dr. David Low, CEO of A*STAR ARTC.
