In a groundbreaking announcement today, XCharge North America (NA), a prominent provider of DC high-power and battery-integrated electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions, disclosed its intentions to construct a pioneering Battery Storage EV Charging Superhub at the esteemed Watters Creek Village mixed-use development situated near Dallas. This state-of-the-art facility aims to revolutionize the EV charging landscape by offering a seamless blend of cutting-edge technology and sustainable energy solutions.

The planned Superhub will boast over 20 stalls equipped with ultra-fast chargers, delivering an unparalleled charging experience for EV drivers. These chargers will have maximum outputs ranging from 200kW to 400kW per port, ensuring rapid and efficient charging for a wide array of electric vehicles.

Once operational, the Superhub will stand as the largest non-Tesla DC fast-charging hub in the region, featuring an impressive storage capacity of 3 megawatt-hours. This substantial capacity not only ensures uninterrupted charging services but also serves as a vital component of the grid, providing essential support during peak demand periods and in the face of unforeseen events such as severe weather conditions.

Designed to withstand seismic weather events, the Superhub underscores XCharge NA’s commitment to resilience and sustainability. Beyond catering to the needs of electric vehicle owners, the facility will actively contribute to the community by returning surplus energy to the grid, aligning seamlessly with Watters Creek’s broader sustainability initiatives.

Watters Creek Village, renowned for its vibrant mix of retail outlets, dining establishments, office spaces, and residential lofts, eagerly anticipates the addition of XCharge NA’s charging infrastructure. The introduction of EV chargers not only supports environmentally friendly transportation options but also presents businesses with new avenues for revenue generation.

“We are thrilled to partner with XCharge North America to introduce permanent and innovative infrastructure solutions to the Dallas community,” remarked James Roussel with Watters Creek Village. “The upcoming EV Charging Superhub will not only position Watters Creek as a leader in sustainable development but also establish itself as the largest high-end DC fast-charging destination in the region. For those who have not visited Watters Creek recently, we invite you to visit our ever-improving shopping center. In 2023, we invested over $2 million into our customer experiences. This included improvements in landscaping, lighting, painting, parking upgrades, and other repairs. We’re thrilled with our progress to date, and the addition of the XCharge EV Charging Superhub will be another amenity available to our community.”
