In a groundbreaking move, Sustainable Energy Solutions Sweden Holding AB (SENS) has announced its expansion into the Zimbabwean market through a strategic collaboration agreement with Nyembesi Corporate Services Africa (Nyembesi). This partnership aims to explore and assess potential energy storage projects in Zimbabwe, a region identified as highly promising for the development of sustainable energy solutions.

SENS, a leading player in the energy sector, has recently secured significant market shares and experienced a surge in demand for its innovative energy solutions. The decision to expand into Zimbabwe aligns with SENS’s commitment to being a pivotal force in the ongoing energy transition in Africa. This expansion comes on the heels of the company’s successful establishment in South Africa.

Nyembesi, a prominent development company in Zimbabwe’s energy sector, will take the lead in generating potential projects, leveraging its extensive local knowledge and resources. SENS, in turn, will provide relevant data and information to assist Nyembesi in identifying suitable projects. Following the initial phase, SENS will lead the due diligence process to evaluate the feasibility of these projects.

He commented,  “The collaboration agreement with SENS is clear proof that technical solutions form the foundation of a carbon-neutral and energy-efficient future. It strengthens the ambitions from COP 28 and facilitates the implementation of climate-resilient strategies. The agreement targets Zimbabwe as the benefactor of SENS’s expertise and capacity in energy storage and system solutions in various generative environments, in a sustainable and cost-effective manner. We at Nyembesi look forward to this collaboration and the immense benefits it will bring for Zimbabwe and its ecosystem.”
