LG Electronics, will integrate the Fractal EMS’s energy management system (EMS), into its commercial energy storage systems. LG also invested in Fractal EMS to support industrial and commercial applications.
This alliance supports LG’s ESS business growth in the United States. It focuses on increasing competitiveness in the industrial and commercial segments. LG is also preparing to launch residential ESS products later in the year. LG’s investment in Fractal is expected to increase Fractal’s organic development and recognize its leadership position as an EMS provider.
According to Thomas Yoon (president and CEO of LG Electronics North America), working with Fractal supports LG’s vision of ushering into a new era of efficient energy storage systems, and energy management technologies. He said that complementary technologies from LG and Fractal would be important components of the energy ecosystem for high performance buildings. This includes super-efficient LG HVAC system systems.
Fractal EMS CEO Daniel Crotzer stated that “LG’s investment advances our mission to combine modern architecture with competitive pricing to create industry’s best-in-class energy storage and hybrid controls.” He stated that integrating the Fractal EMS platform and LG’s advanced ESS units will significantly contribute to the industry’s efforts to maximize safety and profitability storage and hybrid system profits and systems.
LG’s growing portfolio of energy innovations includes a variety of products and services that help the company position itself to be a market leader. These include energy storage systems, energy management, and other yet-to-be-announced advancements.
