Delta Electronics India announced that it will supply 110 MW of bi-directional Power Conditioning Systems (PCS) to Prostarm Info Systems Ltd. for multiple Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects across India, strengthening the country’s renewable energy integration and grid stability efforts.

Under the agreement, Delta will provide 100 units of its ‘Make-in-India’ 1.1 MW bi-directional PCS, manufactured at its Krishnagiri facility in Tamil Nadu. The systems will be deployed by Prostarm across energy storage projects, including initiatives undertaken by Bihar State Power Generation Company Ltd. (BSPGCL) and Adani Electricity Mumbai Limited (AEML).

The deployment includes AEML’s 11 MW/22 MWh BESS project in Mumbai, along with standalone BESS projects being developed by Prostarm in Bihar under the BESSPD (Battery Energy Storage Solution Power Developer) model. According to the companies, the projects are aimed at improving grid reliability while supporting renewable energy adoption in both metropolitan and regional markets.

Commenting on the development, Niranjan Nayak, Managing Director, Delta Electronics India, said the collaboration reflects the need for partnerships that combine global technology expertise with local manufacturing. He noted that the project marks Delta’s largest deployment of made-in-India power conditioning systems in the country’s rapidly evolving energy storage sector.

Ram Agarwal, Whole-Time Director and CEO, Prostarm Info Systems Ltd., said the partnership aligns with the company’s focus on delivering advanced energy solutions for utilities. He added that working with Delta on AEML’s BESS initiative strengthens Prostarm’s energy storage portfolio and sets a benchmark for strategic collaboration in India’s power sector.

Highlighting the significance of the agreement, Rajesh Kaushal, Vice President, Energy Infrastructure Business Group, Delta Electronics India, said the project represents a key milestone for Delta’s PCS business in India. He emphasized that the bi-directional systems are designed with localization in mind and support India’s Make-in-India manufacturing push.

Prateek Srivastava, Vice President and BU-Head, Prostarm Info Systems Ltd., said the clean energy transition requires long-term investments in reliable and scalable technology. He added that partnering with Delta reinforces Prostarm’s commitment to innovation, collaboration, and customer-centric solutions.

Delta’s bi-directional PCS are designed for utility-scale energy storage and microgrid applications, supporting functions such as peak shaving, photovoltaic smoothing, and grid ancillary services. The systems offer up to 98.5% energy conversion efficiency, output power capacity of up to 1160 kVA, and scalability of up to five units in parallel.
